My guess is that their actions would have depended more on why they traveled the route to begin with. If the reason you chose the route was important enough to you, then you'd stay the course even if you knew what was ahead for you down the road even if it wasn't pretty.

Jesus knew what was down the road for him, but his reasons for going were worth the price.

All of us at some time in our lives will be faced with making a choice where we will know before we make it what lies ahead of us and that it might not be pleasant. In fact we do it every time we pick up our cross and decide to follow Jesus.

Jesus promised that we'd be with him in heaven, but he also told his disciples that many in the world would hate them because of him. And yet they followed him anyway.

Would I change what I do if I knew what the future held for me? The simple answer is YES. I did that when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and accepted the forgiveness he offered to me and said yes that I'd follow him.

Now I know my future and what he has promised for me. And while I might not know the events that will happen on the journey, I know where it will end and for me it is worth the trip even if it means traveling Central Expressway during rush hour!

So today I can face my Central Expressway and its traffic jams because I know that on the other side of them is the party that will never end with the one who died for me.

Thanks Christy for reminding me of the price that was paid so that I might attend the heavenly party.

And thanks for your part in leading me to the One who gave his life for mine.Angie Hammondhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10064017427849522392noreply@blogger.com
