You ponder the question if your mother is hearing those words well done Eileen and if she understood the Grace of God.

Well, I'm going to say that I believe she heard those words well done Eileen and that she understood God's grace as a gift to her without cost to her.

Something I've observed in my own relationship with my mother. God and her theology about him is not a mother daughter topic of conversation. We've never really talked about what she believes or why. It's just a guess on my part, but I'm betting that it was not a normal topic for you and your mother either. Thus the questions rolling around in your head about her now in regard to her understanding of grace.

For what it is worth. After reading what you've written about your mother and all that she did, I'm convinced that she could not have done all that she did with the heart that she did if she did not know the heart of God.

To me that means that she knew and experienced God's grace even if she did not fully understand it and what it meant for her. Perhaps she was more gifted in being able to describe others and events rather than her own feelings about God and Grace.
For some reason she didn't write much about her own relationship with God, but she shared much with her Sunday school class each week.

Rest easy my friend, both God and your mother are already saying: "Well done Christy, I am pleased with you"

Thank you for sharing your life with those of us who read this blog. I've learned much from you and I am truly blessed to know you as a friend.

With love,

AngieAngie Hammondhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10064017427849522392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36914026.post-61254735282749699732010-09-29T13:10:18.539-05:002010-09-29T13:10:18.539-05:00Christy, the wonderful thing about grace is that y...Christy, the wonderful thing about grace is that your mother didn't need to know or understand it - she will receive it freely, anyway.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16494427240042924477noreply@blogger.com
